I wish I were a bird.

\nSinging songs to be heard.
\nHearts of souls would be stirred.<\/p>\n

\nThe bright sun shining in my eye.<\/span>
\nOpening up my w<\/span>ings to fly.<\/span><\/p>\n

Up, up with the boisterous wind!
\nUp and down, my feathered wings bend.
\nGreens, blues, teals \u2013 all colors would blend.
\nTo clouds and sky there is no end!<\/p>\n

\nPuffins almost seem to cry.<\/span>
\nBlack and white is the magpie.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nKiwis do not let worms go by.
\nListen \u2013 a morepork is nearby.<\/p>\n

A grandiose question, which to be?<\/span>
\nTo be a bird footl<\/span>oose and carefree,<\/span>
\nNot for me to just sit in a tree.<\/span>
\nMy life wants a constant flying spree.<\/span><\/p>\n

To enjoy the wind in my feathered wings,
\nAnd air in my face a pleasure it brings.
\nNot to have a care about worldly things.
\nOnly savouring what creation rings.<\/p>\n

Thank you, Lord, for the glorious birds to adore.<\/span>
\nEnjoying your creation makes me want to soar!<\/span>
\nArriving at the gate, I for thee will ask for.<\/span>
\nI long to meet on that delightful, golden shore.<\/span><\/p>\n
