I came upon the verse below recently and I guess it stood out more than normal since old age is not just creeping up on me anymore, but it is taking hold and hanging on tight.<\/p>\n

I Peter 4:11 \u201c\u2026if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Most of the ladies I know worry and we worry about wanting to do more for Christ; but, for whatever God-given reason, they just cannot. But we still worry about it.<\/p>\n

Maybe this little piece of a verse will encourage you. \u201c\u2026if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth\u2026\u201d<\/em><\/span> We can only do what God gives us the ability to do.<\/p>\n

If you have 5 children running around the house, you cannot do as much as someone whose children are grown and out of the house. If you have various health issues, you cannot do as much as others who have good health.<\/p>\n

There are many God-given reasons as to why we may not be able to do all we want to do for the Lord \u2013 but according to God\u2019s word above \u2013 it is okay. He has given each of us the ability to do something even if we can only pray.<\/p>\n

I thought of this song by John W. Peterson:<\/p>\n

“Why Worry”<\/span><\/p>\n

Why worry, when you can pray?
\nTrust Jesus, He\u2019ll be your stay.
\nDon\u2019t be a doubting Thomas
\nRest fully on His promise
\nWhy worry, worry, worry, worry
\nWhen you can pray?<\/p>\n

Then, I thought of re-writing the concept this way:<\/p>\n

Why worry when you can pray.
\nWhy worry if you can\u2019t go on visitation \u2013 go pray!
\nWorry if you can and don\u2019t.<\/p>\n

Why worry if your health is failing and you can\u2019t help at church \u2013 go pray!
\nWorry if you can and don\u2019t.<\/p>\n

Why worry if you can\u2019t teach a Sunday School Class \u2013 go pray!
\nWorry if you can and don\u2019t.<\/p>\n

Why worry, worry, worry, worry \u2013
\nWhen you can pray?<\/p>\n

In other words, \u201cDon\u2019t worry if you can\u2019t do more than your God-given ability\u201d and keep in mind, God doesn\u2019t want us to worry anyway about it.<\/p>\n

I Peter 5:7 \u201cCasting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

In the past several years, a song that has become a favorite of mine is \u201cLeave it There\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201c<\/em>Leave it There\u201d<\/em> by Charles A. Tindley<\/span><\/p>\n

1. If the world from you withhold of its silver and its gold,
\nAnd you have to get along with meager fare,
\nJust remember, in His Word, how He feeds the little bird,
\nTake your burden to the Lord and leave it there.<\/p>\n

\nIf you trust and never doubt, He will surely bring you out,
\nTake your burden to the Lord and leave it there.<\/p>\n

2. If your body suffers pain and your health you can\u2019t regain,

\nTake your burden to the Lord and leave it there. [Refrain]<\/p>\n

Again, why worry, give it all to the Lord and do what your God-given abilities will allow you to do. If you can only pray \u2013 then be a prayer warrior for God.<\/p>\n

I was recently talking to my husband about my prayer warriors are passing on to be with the\"\" Lord. \u201cWe are losing our prayer warriors.\u201d I told him.<\/p>\n

So, if your only God-given ability is to pray \u2013 then step up to the plate of a very challenging job and become a prayer warrior today. It is simply written in the Bible.<\/p>\n

I Timothy 5:17 \u201cPray without ceasing.\u201d<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

In conclusion, stop worrying about what you cannot do for the Lord. Focus on what you can do and if you can only pray \u2013 then pray and become a prayer warrior today!<\/p>\n

Yes, I guess I\u2019m trying to recruit more prayer warriors. Are you up to the challenge?<\/p>\n
